INVESTIGATING ATROCITY

Military Observers in Carana

This simulation is playable below on a computer (PC or Mac) browser, though not on phones or tablets.

Determine who committed the massacre and why.
Find the location of kidnapped children.
Explore the dynamics of a typical internal conflict while playing a peacekeeper avatar (selectable).
Use your investigative skills to draw conclusions in your final report.
Help restore a modicum of peace on the troubled island.
Learn what it is like to serve in a peacekeeping operation.

Developed for military education and training about peace operations, versions of it have been used in military institutions in Canada and a dozen other countries. As a service to promote international peace and security more widely, the simulation can also serve as an introduction to the role of peacekeepers.
